Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya is a simple love story. Aashi(Aishwarya Rai) is the daughter of industrialist Kailash Nath Kapoor(Anupam Kher). Having lost her mother at sixth she is a darling od her entire family, comprising of Shammi Kapoor her grandfather and Shammi who is his grandmother. Aashi has a strong mind of her own and usually does what she things is right and her grandfather always favours her decisions. One by one all. Aashi's friend get married and her family also realises, that its high time that she to gets married. At one of her friends wedding they meet a very old family friend.(Avtaar Gill) and (Priya Tendulkar) and as they get talking it is revealed that they have a son who is of same age as Aashi and is living abroad, having his own garment business.
